Welcome Letters

Dear organizers and guests of the exhibition,

To begin with, allow me to congratulate you on the opening of the next international exhibition in the capital city of our state – Tashkent. Having become a good tradition, the conduct of this exhibition serves to pool potentialities and to consolidate activities of our friends and partners. We hope you’ll manage not only to acquaint yourself with a variety of goods and services displayed at the exhibition, but also to exchange first-hand experience, to strengthen mutual understanding and to sign long-term contacts.

In the last few years, most industries of the national economy have been developing at a steady pace. Thanks to the exhibition arranged in Tashkent by ITE Uzbekistan, a company specializing in the organization of international exhibitions, we can highlight the Republic’s economic potential, while expanding the ranks of foreign partners through the attraction of investments to sectors such as construction, food, public health, oil and gas, telecommunications, transport, motor-car construction, textile etc.

The vast economic potential of our country affords a sufficient number of promising business opportunities. We are confident that all this will help to lay the stable foundation of our great future. Of course, in this undertaking we rest upon the assistance of our partners, and that’s why we urge them to establish mutually beneficial relations with the Republic of Uzbekistan.

I wish all the exhibition participants successful activity and new effective contacts.

A.Tukhtaev,
Khokim of Tashkent

Dear ladies and gentlemen,

Let me greet, on behalf of the Chamber of Trade and Industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan, all participants and guests of the exhibitions, organized by ITE Uzbekistan, and wish them every success in their activity.

The past few years have seen a dynamic development of the national economy. These achievements are largely a tribute to an auspicious environment for the development of private entrepreneurship created in the country. Year in, year out, the Republic intensifies its investment activity and scales up its export potential.

One should accentuate the fact that international exhibitions staged in Uzbekistan have an essential role to play in these processes. They are a perfect tool for attracting overseas investments to the national economy. A growing interest in these exhibitions on the part of domestic and foreign business circles is confirmed by the fact that their participant figures rise and the expositions grow in scope and diversity.

I can say with confidence that the exhibition to be held this year will also facilitate the establishment of mutually beneficial contacts between business people of Uzbekistan and foreign partners.

Taking this opportunity, I’d like to wish all exhibition participants successful and efficient work.

Deputy Chairman,
Chamber of Trade and Industry
of the Republic of Uzbekistan
N. Kasymov

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

Allow us, on behalf of NEC Uzexpocentre of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to greet participants and guests of the international exhibitions staged by ITE Group Plc and ITE Uzbekistan in Tashkent, with organisational assistance rendered by our company.

Since 1995, ITE Group Plc is our major partner in exhibition activity. The scope of themes addressed by the exhibitions, held under the company’s aegis, and their number tend to expand from year to year. In 1995, for instance, there were only 2 exhibitions, whereas 2005 has already seen 11 international exhibitions. In 2006, there are plans to organise 14 international exhibitions, whose themes will cover several priority sectors of the nation’s economy, including construction; healthcare; oil and gas; telecommunications; safety, protection and rescue; food industry; mining and metallurgy; textile industry, motor-car construction and others. Taking part in the exhibitions are firms and companies from more than 20 countries, with the number of specialist visitors to their theme stands reaching 10,000 a year.

The exhibitions TIHE, OGU, UzBUILD, INFOCOMEXPO, AUTOMOTORSHOW, Textile Expo Uzbekistan and others, which have become traditional, create promising investment opportunities and contribute to the attraction of foreign capital to the Uzbek economy, development of small-scale and private businesses, establishment of joint ventures and foreign enterprises and opening of representative offices by many overseas firms and companies in the Republic.

To confirm the efficiency of exhibitions run by ITE Uzbekistan in Tashkent, we’re pleased to adduce the following, most noticeable results: the development of the Kandym-Khauzak-Shady-Kungrad super-project; conclusion of the agreement on joint activity between the National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz and Lukoil Overseas for a term of 35 years, with the investment fund amounting to about US $1 billion; delivery and post-guarantee maintenance by Schiller of 35 diagnostic complexes for district clinics in the Ferghana, Navoi and Syrdarya Provinces; opening of the International Medical Center, Tashkent – Health; attraction of some US $900 million worth of foreign investments to the textile sector of Uzbekistan; and an increase in the exports volume of textile produce and building materials of up to US $195 million and US $31.7 million, respectively.

We want to hope that the expositions organised by ITE Group Plc, in conjunction with FE ITE Uzbekistan, in the exhibitions halls of NEC Uzexpocentre will facilitate the expansion of cooperation areas, ferment new business contacts and speed up the integration of the national economy in the world economic system. Uzexpocentre, in turn, will spare neither strength nor resources to create optimum conditions for exhibition participants to associate with their stand visitors in the most business-like and fruitful manner.

We wish all exposition participants successful exhibition business in Uzbekistan, further prosperity and well-being.
