March 26 – 28, 2009 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan it is going to be held International exhibition on telecommunication, control system, computer & informational technologies “InfoComExpo Tajikistan 2009” – this is unique and the most interesting exhibition on communication, PC & equipment. 2009 will be the 4th exhibition on telecommunication technologies.

At present the Ministry of Transport and Communication created all conditions to attract foreign investors into telecommunication sector of Tajikistan and this tendency will develop in every way in the future. This area is one of the most dynamically developing branch of the economy.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan had been approved the State Strategy “ICT market to develop the Republic of Tajikistan”. Within the framework of Strategy realization it had been developed draft programs “Development of ICT in the Republic of Tajikistan”, “Use and development of informational technologies”, the investment project “Transport network of telecommunications in the Republic of Tajikistan”.
11 cellular operators in GSM, AMPS, CDMA 450, CDMA 2001X, 3G-UMTS BA 3G standards operate in Tajikistan, 16 operators of local telecommunications, 14 operators from 16 introduce NGN technology, 38 operators provide INTERNET service, 13-operators provide IP-telephony services, 3 operators provide satellite communication services and etc. The Ministry of Transport and Communication of Tajikistan in total issued 147 licenses in order to provide different services in the field of electric communications.
